Kwin gamecontroller plugin missing from fedora?

so from my understanding, plasma 6.6 introduced the possibility to use gamepads as input devices (simulated mouse and keyboard) for the desktop. therefore a switch has been added to the gamepad kcm.

though for me, activating that setting does nothing. i suspect a missing kwin plugin to be the issue. my expectation was to find a gamecontroller plugin in my kwin plugin folder, but /usr/lib64/qt6/plugins/kwin/plugins/ only contains the following

BounceKeysPlugin.so eis.so krunnerintegration.so nightlight.so screenshot.so StickyKeysPlugin.so
buttonsrebind.so KeyNotificationPlugin.so MouseKeysPlugin.so screencast.so SlowKeysPlugin.so TouchpadShortcutsPlugin.so

is there a reason, Fedora KDE doenst ship this (relatively new) kwin plugin or am i missing something here?
