Kernel 6.16.3: sound problem with pipewire-jack

Hello;

I installed the recent kernl update (6.16.3) on my Fedora 42 installation.

Since then I wasn(t able to get a correct sound with pipewire-jack.

I started TuxGuitar and played a score via tuxguitar and the first result was like a sample rate problem.

So, I initialized the sample rate and the buffer size via:

$ pw-metadata -n settings 0 clock.force-quantum 256
$ pw-metadata -n settings 0 clock.force-rate 48000

Still the same problem.

When I connected the guitar to guitarix via pipewire-jack, the sound felt totally distorted, not a simple problem of sample rate.

Everything works fine with the kernel 6.15.10.

The problem is still present on Fedora 41 with kernel 6.16.4.

I will test later on Fedora 42.

Works fine with Fedora 42 and 6.16.3. So, it’s a Fedora 41 only problem.
