A few days ago I updated to Fedora 39 from 38 and ever since I have been having random moments where my monitor will start getting grey and KDE will start becoming very slow or not responsive. For example the Start key will not work or if I click on Mozilla it will not load or load after about a minute. Every time this happens in order to solve I need to reboot the system. Also on every occasion journalctl point me to a problem in pipwire.
systemctl --user status pipwrire give me the following

I am not a newbie completely but not an expert either and to my understanding this has somethign to do with my GPU and the driver on the kernel side?? (not sure)
My system if the info is needed is:
CPU: 5950x
GPU: AMD 6600 (not xt)
kernel: Linux fedora 6.7.3-200.fc39.x86_64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Thu Feb 1 03:29:52 UTC 2024 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? Is that possibly a new kernel issue? I did load the last two kernel versions but I get the same error.
I haven’t figured it out yet, but I’m having some weird graphical performance issues as of 6.7.3 here in Gnome with similar-ish hardware (Ryzen 4750U). Things like resizing windows are suddenly laggy, which is very unusual with errors like this:
It may or may not be the same issue as I’m still trying to find the smoking gun here, but I’m suspecting that there might be a performance regression with the amdgpu driver in the new 6.7 kernel.
Yeah, there’s definitely something going on with amdgpu and/or dbus and the recent updates:

Firefox lags when resizing and thunderbird couldn’t resize at all, etc.
I see yeah most likely it is a problem with the newest kernel. Now that I am thinking it more after I upgraded from 38 to 39 the problem did not occur until after I upgraded to the newest kernel a day after. Hopefully it is resolved soon.
OK, I think I found my problem. The RPMFusion Mesa drivers are running a little behind:

This fixed it for me: sudo dnf update --best --allowerasing --refresh --enablerepo=rpmfusion-free-updates-testing
If you’re using the mesa freeworld drivers, then you might very well be seeing the same issue. If not, then I suggest you keep watching journalctl for clues that might be helpful for tracking it down for your system.
