KDE Fedora 40 - KWalletManager not starting when launched from Application Launcher

Hi there! Since an update I think yesterday or the day before, I cannot launch the KWalletManager from the App Launcher menu. I get an error notification saying “Launching KWalletManager (Failed)” and “The name is not activatable”. But it works if I launch the app using the ‘kwalletmanager5’ command from console. Is this a known bug? Any workarounds? Anything I can do to troubleshoot? Is there perhaps a log where I could see more details?

Thanks for any replies in advance

Edit: seems to be fixed (as of Sep '24)

Update: it also works if I create a new menu item, for example “KWalletManager2” with all the other parameters the same. So perhaps it is an issue with the name of the app, “KWalletManager”? I would try editing the existing menu item and maybe rename it to “KWallet Manager” (with a space) but if it started working there would be no way to further investigate the cause…

I confirm the same issue here.

I see the same error and tried running kwalletmanager from the terminal and that all works.

I tried to downgrade but hit issues. So cannot debug that way it seems.

Would be worth raising a fedora bug for this.
