My name is Hari Rana, also known as TheEvilSkeleton, but you can call me Tesk, Skelly, TheEvilSkely, as well.
I have written a proper introduction of myself in the “Introduce yourself!” thread. Check it out!
I’d like to request access to create and edit posts. I wish to contribute to the Fedora Magazine. I love writing essays, and I spend a lot of time writing documentation in various projects, so it’s a subject I have knowledge in. Credit to @mattdm (Self-introduction: TheEvilSkeleton) for letting me know.
From the comments on the card, it looks like Tim Bosse had expressed an interest in writing that article but is waiting for Fedora to move to Element. It looks like he pasted the wrong link. Perhaps he meant The future of real-time (chat) discussion for the Fedora council?
I can grant your account access to the Taiga system. Unfortunately, I cannot tell if you have logged in on Taiga yet to initialize your profile. If I try to add your account before you have initialized it by logging in once, the connection is broken and higher powers have to be called on to get it fixed. So let me know if when have logged in and then I will enter your account in the membership list.
P.S. If there is a way to browse/search the list of all accounts (not just existing members) on the system, someone please let me know.
I have read that. I don’t see the point of writing an article after Fedora has migrated to Matrix. Since Fedora is using IRC currently, I think an article on how to use the IRC bridge in Element would be best written as soon as possible.
I’m personally not really a fan of IRC, but I use Matrix everyday. I prefer to use the bridge rather than another client. I don’t think I’m the only one that thinks of that.
However, this is my opinion. I wouldn’t mind discussing this if someone disagrees with me.
I have initialized my profile. It’s @TheEvilSkeleton.
I don’t really know enough about it to argue any which way about how it should be done. My only concern is that Tim might have done the work of writing something that he hasn’t uploaded yet and is just waiting for the Fedora Project to make the switch.
I’ve assigned you the card. Just as a courtesy, I’d request that you mention your interest in the topic to Tim in the comments section of the card and if he doesn’t respond within a few days, then go ahead a take it.
I was going to write something, but didn’t after having a good chat with myself. You are correct, I didn’t paste the right link. Your guess was right. As I mentioned in the card, it’s free to a good home. Happy writing!
