Install in parallel to existing OS using systemd-boot

I want to try Silverblue on my main Laptop and slowly migrate from my installed distro (Ubuntu), but want to keep that intact when something doesn’t work out of the box with Silverblue. For Ubuntu I use systemd-boot as bootloader. Is it possible to install Silverblue next to Ubuntu without overriding everything? Does it detect the systemd-boot when I mount the /boot partition?

systemd-boot requires your kernels to be on your EFI system partition, but OSTree requires /boot and /boot/efi to be separate, so…sadly, not at the moment. Fedora should use the same ESP, so you could maybe configure systemd-boot to load Fedora’s GRUB.

Is it still the case? Where I can find more information about it?
