I have an issue with a small area in the top-right corner of my screen not responding to clicks and I hope someone can help me

Resolved

It was back to normal after uninstalling “AnyDesk”

The system I am using is Fedora 40, and I have some extensions enabled. There is an area in the top-right corner of the screen that does not respond to any clicks (however, if I drag the mouse from a clickable area to this location, it works). As indicated by the red box in the image, any part of any application within this area is unclickable. When I want to click on something in this area, I have to resize and move the window to another location to click. I suspect it might be caused by an extension, but the problem persists even after disabling all extensions.

I hope someone can help me resolve this issue. Thank you.

Additionally, I just noticed that when I switched applications using “Alt+Tab”, a black block appeared in the top-right corner for the first time, which is almost in the same position as the non-responsive area. I suspect this black block may be related to the clicking issue. The attached image was captured from a video I took with my phone, showing the black block.

Could be corruption in the window manager and/or graphics drivers, or (more likely?) a dead/zombie application window(s) being set in those locations and receiving all mouse events. You can check htop for processes you don’t expect to be running.
You could test to see if the mouse events are still being registered by e.g. xorg - monitoring events (keyboard, mouse) in X - Unix & Linux Stack Exchange
