I can't take screenshot with slurp and grim

,

When i try to take a screenshot with slurp | grim -g- screenshot.png this error comes compositor doesn't support wlr-screencopy-unstable-v1. How do i fix this. I am using fedora version 40 with kde as my desktop environment

You do not state which version of fedora you may be using. Take the screenshot with the gnome screenshot function (the printscreen button on the keyboard) then you can do what you wish with the resulting png file (located in /home/$(USER)/Pictures/Screenshots)

Which compositor are you using? Did you install it and wlroots from Fedora repos or from somewhere else? What are their versions? I tried it with sway-1.9-1.fc40.x86_64 and wlroots-0.17.3-1.fc40.x86_64 from Fedora repos and didn’t get any errors.

I use version 40. I wish to use slurp and grim to take my screenshot

Added f40, fedora-kde

Does grim work outside of a wlr environment, You mentioned you are on KDE
