How to instantaneously extract text from selected screen area?

I’m using kde plasma 6.2, what i require is a tool which can extract text from a selected screen area, is there a specific tool that already exists or I can make use of multiple existing tools and make a script to perform this task.

Spectacle let’s us select a screen area by Meta + Shift + PrtSc. After selecting the area I want a prompt to select and extract text from the selected part just as google lens does after capturing an image.

NormCap seems to do what you want. Or perhaps take a screenshot with Spectacle and use something like Frog to extract text from the image.

NormCap was what i needed. Thanks a bunch. Frog is also a good software, and could help me for a different use-case, thanks for this suggestion too.
