How can I find out the version of Beamer Class in the Package? The latest version is 3.7 (josephwright/beamer: A LaTeX class for producing presentations and slides)

I did: head -15 /usr/share/texlive/texmf-dist/tex/latex/beamer/beamer.cls

Is the last line giving you what you want?
