How to add a bash script to the Gnome application launcher?

I don’t want to go through the hassle of creating a desktop file every single time I want simply want to add a script or executable to the Gnome launcher. Is there any way to make this less insane? Like a plugin that allows you to simply drag and drop anything into the gnome launcher? Or a GUI that simply lets you select a script/executable and automatically generates a desktop file out of that and ensures it goes whereever it needs to in order to show up in the launcher?
