Graphical glitching in X11

In Fedroa 41 I recently upgraded my monitor from 3840x1600 145hz to 5210x2160 resolution at 165hz, this is fine in Windows and fine in Wayland, however in x11 i get weird graphical glitches at the bottom of the screen. Primarily towards the bottom around where I have the taskbar. It mostly happens to dash to panel, but it has done it in the middle of the screen.

If I drop the frequency to 100hz this disappears. So of course I thought cable and bandwidth, so I bought an overkill cable and the same thing is happening. Again this does not occur in Windows(dual boot), or games on x11 or even a Wayland session, but Wayland is a world of issues in itself so I prefer to stick to x11.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

I took a video and created a couple gifs of the example in shotcut.

The flickering looks part of whatever is drawing the dock, or part of the overall compositor or DE.

I’d try disabling the compositor from the current DE; and also test from GNOME as-is (no dock/extensions) from Workstation.

Disabling all extensions didn’t help.

Try to disable animations for gnome gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface enable-animations false and to enable it if still have problem gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface enable-animations true
