I remember that with arch and asahi-edge, keyboard backlight was enabled. Did i missed something like a command or extension or similar?
EDIT: i’ve found command that works on gnome from terminal
gdbus call --session --dest org.gnome.SettingsDaemon.Power --object-path /org/gnome/SettingsDaemon/Power --method org.gnome.SettingsDaemon.Power.Keyboard.StepUp
gdbus call --session --dest org.gnome.SettingsDaemon.Power --object-path /org/gnome/SettingsDaemon/Power --method org.gnome.SettingsDaemon.Power.Keyboard.StepDown

Yup, this is one of the reasons why KDE is the flagship and not Gnome :-).
I hear they finally fixed this very recently and there’s now some way to control the backlight (for a future release), but for a very long time, there wasn’t on machines without dedicated keyboard keys on Gnome.

This problem was tracked by the SIG . GNOME has resolved the issue for the upcoming GNOME 45 release coming with Fedora Linux 39. When Fedora Asahi Remix rebases to F39, this should be resolved.
