Getting rid of Noto font clutter in Immutable distros

I run Aurora, and the Noto fonts are overwhelming the font menus in graphics programs such as Inkscape, Scribus and darktable. I’ve tried solving the issue with advice from the Aurora forum, with no success. The font manager included with the distro doesn’t seem to work. Any way to get rid of all this font clutter?

What is your issue? You should be able to change the font in the settings.

I don’t think you understand the issue. Assuming you are referencing changing the UI font, sure, easy.

The font manager doesn’t work to hide or remove fonts, so there are hundreds of Noto fonts in application font choosers.
