Need help on fresh install of CentOS 9 Stream from usb/iso . The initial prompt is only a boot prompt and not an install prompt. Got both the minimal and disk1(dvd) iso from here: Index of /9-stream/BaseOS/x86_64/iso both act the same. How do I kick off an install from this menu or even from the os command line? Need help on fresh install of CentOS 9 Stream from usb/iso .
How did you put the downloaded image to the USB stick?
I used Rufus. The media seems to be good. I am remote and I am trusting the non-tech at the console for information. I bet the machine is not booting from the USB and the menu is the standard boot menu because booting CentOS 8 is an option. Let me investigate and I’ll get back.

Derrrr… The USB boot device works great. I am off and building my machine. It is good safety practice to turn the boot from usb option off after building a machine. That was my issue. Went to BIOS and set boot device to USB. Not having a DRAC type interface to this remote garage based server can be a challenge. Thanks for all the help and I hope this helps others in the future.
