I stumbled upon this quite old guide on how to run the KeepassXC binary within the Firefox container, which allows the Extension to work.

This is a very strange idea, as the core idea of using a dedicated PasswordManager is that a browser exploit doesnt leak any passwords, here it would be in the same container.

It looks like the native messaging portal may be finished soon.

Well… you already found all things, what is your question?

I wrote the guide you’ve linked, but for now, I’d also wait for native integration as that should be less buggy and less fragile/prone to break than the workarounds.
