Upon pressing power button and selecting power off option screen, keyboard is gone but led on power button and number lock and laptop on indicator stays on i.e. hardware doesn’t really turn off seems really odd but happens alot. I tried pressing continuously number lock, f2(Lenovo), esc nothing works.

It is encouraged to open a new thread with your issues, Can you please provide the ooutput of inxi -Fzxx in preformatted text </> here so we can see your hardware.
Also, can you provide some logs ? journalctl -xe for us to be able to see the event ?
