I had this issue just now on kinoite, the automatic updates presumably were downloading, but it wouldnt do so in the background and would instead flicker discover open with an error message rapidly, and spam a ton of notifications, before informing me there was an error and the update failed. Is this abnormal or is this how updates are handled on kinoite? Either way, not only did the update fail, but the computer was rendered unusable during this.

Yes, Discover is usually a bit glitchy, but in a generally harmless way.
This never happened to me.
What did the errors say? I usually get connection timout errors.
