Fedora crashing (gpu)

I started getting crashes, the system will either freeze up or the display will flicker and bring me back to the login screen. never happened with fedora 40, i’m on fedora 42 and did a re-install as well. happens regardless of what browser im using or what im doing.

FWIW, it looks like there was a somewhat similar report here with a possible workaround reported further down:

Update:

I booted into Windows and the issue still persisted when opening up a browser, viewing a video etc.

EndeavourOS live iso would crash too.

I think it’s an issue with the chip itself. The issue went away after adding a dedicated graphics card.
