After the latest update to the kernel, I noticed there was no kmod-nvidia rpm listed after the dnf transaction. All previous kernel updates were flawless. Has anybody noticed this?
I have akmods-nvidia installed from rpmfusion using their how-to and worked ok so far - until this kernel update (6.12.15-200).
Doing a: ‘akmods --rebuild --kernel 6.12.15-200.fc41.x86_64’ shows no error but still no rpm listed. Journalctl also show nothing abnormal.
thank you both. found the failed log in there, along with the built rpm. After manually installing the built rpm using dnf, am already able to boot to the new kernel. Having to hunt down the process that locked rpm transaction is beyond my kung-fu, so I’m stopping my investigation here
