Fedora 41 KDE Plasma, unable to sign into Online Accounts with Google Credentials

I have three installations of F41 with KDE Plasma two with Kinoite and one which is a standard installation.

The two Kinoite installations have no problem signing into Google with Online Accounts, however, when I try to login with Google on the standard installation it ends with this message.

I do not know yet why this is happening, but I will keep on looking.

I have been unable to find any solution on this forum or the KDE forum.

For now I am using Rclone-Browser, not ideal but easy to use.

yep there is the issue and i keep getting sign in popup non stop loop asking to sign in even it is blocked by google

seems that akonadi and KDE is banned from Google no access on anyway using there tools so need to rely on third-party tools

Mounting the drive with rclone mount integrates even better with the desktop, if you’re willing to use the command line.

What I find odd is that it is working fine on two laptops with F41 and Kinoite.

The packages are all at the same level, the only difference being the mutable system.

yeah i am on immutable and not working as being blocked so no more Google drive integrations

It is simpler and faster. (Rclone)

But not built-in

Google no longer allows embedded browser widgets to do sign-in. It needs to bounce to a real browser. On my Fedora KDE systems, it opens up Firefox and takes care of it there.

So flatpaks still works as it works on Gnome workstation and Silverblue, but not on kde

I will test this tomorrow on my Kinoite

There is that.

This workaround is a temporary solution

i will wait for official fix since FireFox on base image Kinoite wont even open or allow login still gets blocked even all login details are correct
