I confirm this option exists in GNOME for a while now.
If you have no issues with CLI setups, you might want to give rclone a try. Once the remote is configured, it can be mounted as a drive (with rclone mount
).
Yeah I’m aware that is an option but it is far from practical (I will have to regularly synchronize a password db) and it isn’t as easy to configure. Unless I’m mistaken on it being complicated and having to manually synchronize, I’ll have to take a closer look but hopefully this gets fixed soon.

I do use rclone
for syncing purposes (with rcloud sync
), as I like to access the files locally. In that case it is indeed important not to forget syncing when moving from one machine to the other. I have created two alias commands (one for syncing from cloud, and another one for syncing to the cloud), and running them when starting and ending a session.
But the rclone mount
subcommand seems to be easier (with the caveat that you’ve got a virtual filesystem mounted). Apparently there is also a background mode (with the --daemon
flag), but I have never used it.

@tessierp When you try to create a new post in Proposed Common Issues , there’s a long template pre-filled starting with this:
This is NOT a place to report bugs. If you want to discuss a problem with other Fedora users, select the “Ask Fedora” category (without any subcategory) in the drop-down list above. Or close (discard) this draft and open a new topic in here:
Ask Fedora - Fedora Discussion
…
Why do you keep creating new posts in that category instead of following the advice? Help me understand your thought process. Are the instructions confusing in any way?
Hello there. Before you start pointing fingers and/or given lectures to people you may want to pay attention to details and context! If you looking CLOSELY at the dates and time of my post you will see one important thing; they all came BEFORE the advice. So please, if you can’t do any better than being a troll, I would ask that you refrain from just posting all together, you are not being helpful.
Again, to help you in the future, PAY ATTENTION DETAILS AND CONTEXT (i.e. someone only pointed that fact yesterday) or else you are not being helpful. Thank you for your cooperation.
@tessierp in my opinion you might have simply replied: “sorry, next time I won’t write there again”.
Take into account that Proposed Common Issues is a special section of this forum, with a process and their rules. @kparal maintains it in order an in good shape.
While that may be the case (that he maintains that part), he clearly needs to learn how to help people and not troll or lecture; that is called maturity. If he wants to understand why I did what I did, he could have reached out directly. Here was not the place to start a different discussion that didn’t contribute AT ALL to the problem. There is a time and place to be sorry this wasn’t one of them this wasn’t one of them; his approach was TOXIC and not helpful.
Last by not least, thanks for the pointer regarding “Proposed Common Issues”. Perhaps it shouldn’t be easy to post directly there if rules need to be followed (gate process). Just a thought.
Patrick, I wrote a very polite question and you replied very aggressively. We have a Fedora code of conduct here, please adhere to it.
If you looking CLOSELY at the dates and time of my post you will see one important thing; they all came BEFORE the advice.
The quoted template has been present there for years, in the latest iteration for months. Your topics were created yesterday. I don’t understand what “before the advice” means.
Perhaps it shouldn’t be easy to post directly there if rules need to be followed (gate process).
We have a very open process, because we’re community-driven. People are expected to read and act based on provided guidance.
If you didn’t understand the instructions, that’s fine, there’s no problem in saying that. We already tweaked the instructions a lot to make it clearer to newcomers. That’s exactly why I’m asking you, to determine what the problem was.
If you don’t want to reply, that’s also fine, even if a bit impolite (proposed common issues generate a lot of notifications for a lot of people). No problem. Just please read the instructions more carefully next time, thanks.
Duly noted for the code of conduct but, I disagree my answer was aggressive but to the point in regards to the way you answered. Lets be honest. Your question was written in a very condescending way.
Like I said, if you want to extend this conversation, reach out directly. Again is this helping with the initial issue? No. So if there is a code of conduct why are you continue to push a conversation that is in no way linked to the original issue?
As for the template being there for years, I have not been here for years and if I was able to do what I did so easily perhaps it needs to be revisited (the process; to avoid mistakes?)
Anyway, please reach out if you want to continue this otherwise I don’t see the value with the original subject. All this could have been avoided if you would have reached out directly. Again I see no point in diluting a subject with this type of conversation… Or do you? In a nutshell, lets keep the non-related stuff out perhaps?
Thanks
It has been a few updates and this feature is still missing. What would be the best way to submit an official bug report?
It’s not a bug, it’s a missing feature. KDE doesn’t support OneDrive at the moment:
https://community.kde.org/Online_Accounts
You can search if somebody already requested it, and if no one did, request it yourself, here:
https://bugs.kde.org
Thanks for the info, much appreciated.
