I installed Fedora 41 KDE a couple of days after it released. All has been good so far until the last couple of days. Suddenly, Discover is constantly asking for my password. Open discover, enter my password. Search for an app, enter my password. Install an app, have to enter my password 4 or 5 times. Close discover, enter my password.
Anyone have an idea what’s going on here and how to fix it? It’s driving me nuts.
Try switching to the X11 display server.
New install so I don’t have X11
In second thoughts, switching to X11 may not be possible in Fedora 41.
So try this command in the TTY it well reset KDE settings.
rm -rf ~/.config/kde* ~/.config/plasma* ~/.local/share/kactivitymanagerd ~/.local/share/kscreen ~/.cache/*plasma*
If it worked please let me know.
Yup that fixed it! Must have been some kind of corruption in a settings file?
