The F42 release party has been finalised and Im pleased to announce its happening one week from now on Thursday, May 29 from 1300 - 1600 UTC on Matrix

For 42th release it would be nice to have some offline in-person Douglas Adams style parties. I miss real hoomans. Otherwise how do we know if it is not AI generated..

It’s very good that even if Fedora (KDE) 42 is made with modern software for modern hardware, even hardware from 16 years ago managed to run it decently enough!
This night I have upgraded the RAM of the computer.
4gb of DDR2 (800Mhz) give it a little more room to actually function, but the GPU is still the main limiting factor, at least for now .
Until the GPU gets something better than Nouveau, it will manage Desktop use decently enough (480p YouTube is pretty fluid), but games won’t be able to use the GPU properly, especially because of the lack of Vulkan support.
