F42 pre-release dnf update error : Failed to download metadata

I know this is a pre-release, so just a heads up to the maintainers and developers, when I perform a sudo dnf update I get the following error:

>>> Status code: 404 for https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/metalink?repo=fedora-42&arch=x86_64

Failed to download metadata (metalink: "https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/metalink?repo=fedora-42&arch=x86_64") for repository "fedora"

Librepo error: Cannot prepare internal mirrorlist: Status code: 404 for https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/metalink?repo=fedora-42&arch=x86_64

This is a fresh new installation using the new F42 pre-release ISO, thank you very much

I’m not sure there is a set of pre-release RPMs yet.
They are at the point of branching rawhide to f42 and doing mass rebuild at the moment. Then they have work to do to settle things down.

Can you wait for f42 beta?

I could install/update F42 with VPN Server in US. It takes a while to replicate the new structure. A lot of places do have just empty F42 directories on the mirror.

Yeah, the few days around branching often have things like this.

After branching tuesday, it took us a bit to get a compose, then it didn’t fully sync out right, but that all got sorted out yesterday, so it should all be there right now.
