Does Fedora have thermal throttling?

I know I need to clean my laptop fans now obviously but I’m curious about this. On windows, on the same game, my temperatures stay at 90C rn with fps loss while on fedora the temperature was touching 93 C(yikes) and running more smoothly. I used sensors to check temperatures on fedora and HWmonitor on windows

Windows and fedora may throttle at different temps, but both do throttle the cpu on temps.

If your laptop is consistently running at 90+C then you definitely need to do the cleaning and possibly use a laptop cooler as well to ensure better cooling.

My laptop, running boinc at ~90% CPU (6 core, 12 thread) for extended times usually stays at about 60C
