Desktop PC screens low brightness after wake up from sleep

Hello,

I installed Fedora KDE Plasma a week ago. I have a desktop computer, and already used Fedora GNOME before without issues. It is a fresh install.

When my PC automatically goes to sleep (it is a desktop computer, NOT a laptop), when I wake it up, the brithness of both my screens are low, the setting to change the brightness disapeared (power management settings too).

Can’t find any help online, and don’t know what could cause the issue. Any help would be appreciated, please!

My configuration:
Operating System: Fedora Linux 42
KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.14.0
Qt Version: 6.9.1
Kernel Version: 6.14.9-300.fc42.x86_64 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8-Core Processor
Memory: 31.3 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
Manufacturer: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd.
Product Name: MS-7B85
System Version: 1.0

up this message

So it also happened whenever the session is being automatically locked. I have to deactivate all of this… Any help, please?

System Settings → Power Management → Display Brightness
Set “Dim automatically” to “Never” at least for now.

It seems brightness controls are gone every time monitor dims in KDE Plasma 6.3.5 and you cannot restore its previous level or go 100% without rebooting / relogging.

This is not happening in KDE Plasma 6.3.4 in Debian Trixie (Testing).

Thanks, it “solved” it until the problem is fixed from Plasma end.
