Default folder for Screenshots

How do I set the default folder for Screenshots? They now end up in “Pictures”. I want them in “Pictures/Screenshots”

What application are you using for screenshots?

I guess Budgie Screenshot? I just press the Ctrl Printscreen

I don’t understand why the default is not ~/Pictures/Screenshots. On my system (Workstation) the default has always been that location. I use only the PrintScreen button with gnome.

Thanks. I don´t understand either.

It looks like that’s a bug with Budgie, [Request] Budgie Screenshot: setting for default screenshot location · Issue #408 · BuddiesOfBudgie/budgie-desktop · GitHub

You could switch to something like flameshot.

You’d want to disable the default keyboard shortcuts.
Settings → Keyboard → View and Customize Shortcuts → Screenshots
You’ll want to edit them and then hit the backspace key to disable them.
You’ll need to create a new shortcuts to use flameshot.
Reference: Key Bindings | Flameshot

You’ll want to make sure the Screenshots directory is created before using them.

As an example here’s what I used for a full screenshot.
flameshot full --path /home/grumpey/Pictures/Screenshots/
