Cursor size & color | inverse color & position | how to configure

I was trying to make my cursor more visible. I do use a dark theme and reading glasses. For that gnome uses a black, small mouse pointer by default, with a white line surrounded. This on dark background is quite difficult to see.

There are several places to configure the mouse, and of course this is the first place I looked after.

  1. Settings > Mouse & Touchpad

  2. Gnome - Tweaks

This settings are just functional in gnome-settings/tweaks (see pictures above).

Visual settings have to be done accessibility! I found a solution see below (I will answer my selves)

Before making the changes it is need to install the gnome-tweaks extension.

Then installing sudo dnf install bluecurve-cursor-theme gives the theme for the cursor which is, changing from black (desktop) to white (content).

After installing the Cursor Theme it is possible to:

  1. Change the Cursor theme (gnome-tweaks, Appearance, Styles, Cursor)
On a new installation there is no selection possible because it has just one cursor theme installed.

  2. Change cursor size (Accessibility > Seeing > Cursor Size)

  3. If it is needed, to use the mouse on left hand, there it is the option to change the pinter position (right-top to left-bottom).

By default the cursor points from top-left to bottom-right.

I hope this configurations examples help users which like to change their cursor color and position.
