When I plug my apple iphone into the usb c port on thinkpad x1 extreme gen 2 with fedora 42, the fans on my computer and cpu usage dramatically thrashes even though my computer is in an idle state (no apps running). The computer becomes hot as well. Once the device (the phone) is unplugged from the usb c port, the thrashing, heat, and fan utilization continues. It can only be stopped by turning off the computer.
If I unplug the device, restart the computer the issue goes away. The moment I plug in the device to my computer issue returns.
