Can't update to Fedora 40 from Fedora 39

Hello having an issue updating to Fedora 40 from Fedora 39. Getting this error

Error running transaction: file /etc/fonts/conf.d/11-lcdfilter-default.conf from install of fontconfig-2.15.0-6.fc40.x86_64 conflicts with file from package fontconfig-enhanced-defaults-2.0-1.fc35.noarch
file /etc/fonts/conf.d/11-lcdfilter-default.conf from install of fontconfig-2.15.0-6.fc40.i686 conflicts with file from package fontconfig-enhanced-defaults-2.0-1.fc35.noarch

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated running into a brick wall looking for the answer.

sudo rpm --nodeps -e fontconfig-enhanced-defaults

Hey thank you for the reply, I ended up removing the file and it ended up upgrading it.

I would have suggested removing that extremely old package.
