I just installed steam, and when I open it it is in big picture mode. Big picture mode cant find wifi for some reason, so I can’t sign in to change it out of big picture mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
Whatever Big Picture mode says about WiFi has nothing to do with it (Steam has no idea how to control WiFi). You are probably running into this problem.
To exit from Big Picture mode you can just press Alt-F4, but it will be glitchy until we ship some updates, that’s why Big Picture is the default.
I have tried all combinations of deleting and installing dhcpcd and dhcp-client, and nothing has worked. I really don’t know what to do.
When I start it though the terminal I get this error: “Failed to open connection to “system” message bus: Failed to connect to socket /run/dbus/system_bus_socket: No such file or directory” Would this help maybe? If I try to open that file through terminal it says permission denied. I can find the file in my file browser, but it is 0 bytes, and I cant open it.
