The instructions there are for Fedora Linux 28, which went end-of-life more than 5 years ago, I’m not surprised that they don’t work with current versions. On top, this package would replace libfprint
as shipped in the distribution which is pretty risky. The replacement doesn’t seem to have been updated in the last 3 years, so it probably isn’t even compatible with the current (original) version. I don’t say it’s impossible to make it work for someone experienced, but I assume that it would be a huge effort and the result would be quite fragile.
There are several issues reported here regarding fingerprint sensor on Lenovo Yoga machines. See a more recent one here, as well as a proposed common issue here.
