Cannot update F39 or upgrade to F41

I get the following errors when trying to update or upgrade:

I’ve searched for and attempted various solutions without any success. Despite having used Fedora for years I’m not that good at using the CLI and don’t have a deep understanding. Please forgive this.

On which version are you now?

Can you show us sudo dnf repolist to see if there is something else where could cause errors.

Please deactivate the following repo and try again :

download.copr.fedorainfracloud.org_results_xxmitsu_kernel-fedora_fedora-39-x86_64_repodata_repomd.xml

I’ve tried disabling the repo in question using sudo dnf config-manager --set-disabled but it makes no difference. I’m unable to disable or remove the vivaldi repo for some reason.

If you are on workstation you can deactivate them in the software app (see hamburger menu).

Remember you want to upgrade Fedora. Everything not belonging direct to fedora can make troubles to make your upgrade. This repositories should be deactivated and can be activated after upgrade.

What is the error you get?

Do you have a nvidia GPU?

Ok, the problem is now solved and I have managed to upgrade to F41.

Disabling the reopo in question had allowed me to update the kernel but I was still getting the same error message when trying to upgrade to the latest fedora distro. I’m really stupid because I had not attempted a reboot. When I switched on today, I tried by chance and managed to upgrade without issue.

Thanks for your help. Someone as stupid as myself needed it!
