I am regularly making screenshots to keep track of what I am doing. They clutter my clipboard history, taking 80% of it and interfering with information I copied. Is there a way to send them to photo reel without copying them?
I was digging through the available GNOME settings using Dconf Editor and there doesn’t seem to be any option or flag to disable copy screenshot to the clipboard on capture.
You may need to install a different screenshot tool, including the older GNOME Screenshot program (available in Software as “Screenshot”) and find a way to map a keyboard shortcut to trigger it.
Hi Regan,
You might try installing xfce4-screenshooter (yes, it also works in Gnome :-))… you can set the destination of the shot in preferences (I just tried it myself for your response )
