Browser Yandex

Come browser uso Firefox e Yandex. Come posso risolvere?

Good morning, I am writing because I need your help. I use an Acer Nitro NS-600 mini computer on which I removed windows and installed Fedora Linux 41 (Workstation Edition). As a browser I use Firefox and Yandex. Unfortunately, I have a problem. I install the Yandex browser and use it all day and it works fine. The next morning I turn the pc back on, click on the Yandex icon to start the browser, but alas the browser no longer starts. I download it again from the site and reinstall it. It works all day, but the next day it goes back to not starting. I have downloaded it both from the website and through the software that Fedora provides, but the same thing always happens. I use the same browser on a Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E330 laptop running Fedora 41 and it works fine there, I don’t have these problems. I have already formatted the pc and reloaded the OS but nothing changes. How can I solve it?

I can’t help you with this specific issue, but just in case you didn’t know Yandex is owned and operated by the Russian state since early 2024. That doesn’t necessarily have to be a problem in terms of safety or telemetry, but it’s just to inform you in case you are unfamiliar with this and are concerned about these matters.

There are many other browsers available in the repositories with less murky foundations.

Hi thanks for the information. I’m afraid the problem is the buffer battery of the pc. I say this because yesterday I formatted the pc once again and reinstalled Fedora 41. This time, however, I left the pc off but the power supply cord plugged into the power outlet. This morning starting the pc and clicking on the Yandex browser icon it booted normally. The previous times I had unplugged the cable from the power outlet. So I think it’s the backup battery … I hope! As for the browser, I’ll tell you the truth, I chose it for that very reason.
