Bluetooth not working on ASUS X870e-i

Long story short. Issues with x670 crashing forced me to replace motherboard with Asus x870-i. Bluetooth shows enabled, started in systemctl but won’t switch on in system settings.

I get an error in journalctl and dmesg

Hci0: Opcode no0x0c03 failed: -16

so i did a hardware probe for compatibility with linux

which shows mediaTek network controller failed
Driver not found.

how does this new hardware get added in to linux is there anything i can do to help add it ?

Update:

I got some help on Discord (thankyou) they have helped me identify the problem which is the MT7927 m.2 wifi 7 & BT 5.4 card driver does not exist in linux.

I just posted a question about how to figure out the state of play on that driver and optionally how to go about developing one.
