Boxes work in my vm with cachyos kernel and rawhide.
Which variant are you using. I tested with eevdf-rt and it was not working.
I was using eevdf-bore.
I currently tested with other variants of the kernel, the vm refuses to work only in realtime kernel.
I can reproduce the isssue with rt kernel in rawhide vm but i have no idea how to fix it, also boxes work with rt kernel on F39.
Hi.
A small update on this: today we fixed the bug so the kernels can now be installed on F39 Silverblue.
First time trying this after following the instructions, but the splash screen says ānvidia kernel module missing falling back to nouveauā and just hangs there.
The loader entry has ārd.driver.blacklist=nouveau modprobe.blacklist=nouveau nvidia-drm.modeset=1ā and Iām using 6.6.2-cb2.0.fc39.x86_64
Not sure what I did wrong, but any help is welcome! (and thanks for maintaining this!)
It seems you didnāt wait until the kernel module was built. Try force rebuild it with akmods --force
and then build initramfs again with dracut dracut -f
Yep that fixed it! Thank you!
Hello there!
Is the realtime kernel not being updated anymore (last 6.6.2)? Will it be dropped too?
There is some stability issues since 6.6.3, but it seems to work better now and i just need to do more testing before updating it in this repo.
Thanks for keeping the repo!
Hey, just wanted to say there is a typo with the devel-matched package for the normal kernel, an h is missing. was confused why my kernel wasnt working at first lol
I have now corrected it. thank you for letting us know
Hello there.
Any news on the RT kernel?
I dont think it will be updated anytime soon, rt patch was last updated 2 month ago. If you want faster desktop you want to try LTO kernel.
I want to install 6.7.0-cb1.0 kernel in the kernel-cachyos package. In the chroot name when i clicked on the fedora-39-x86_64 or any link there is 404 not found. So how can i get these required kernel
files
Copr doesnāt keep sources for that long and it wont be easy to get all the patches for 6.7.0. But you still can get src.rpm for 6.7.9 if you really need 6.7 kernel.
I checked in the DistGit and the source is there so it could be rebuilt from there. The DistGit contains all the source files including external ones which are specified in the spec file.
If you find the build for 6.7.0, you can click on the DistGit link and find the specific commit.
I found DistGit link and specific comment, bro could you write a step that how can i do this currently i am using fedora 39
