Battery won't charge - ASUS Fedora 29

Hi,
I’m having trouble with my ASUS laptop with Fedora 29.
I bought a new battery and started using it about a month ago without any problem, today I used to laptop until it needed to recharge but after plugging it in it does not charge (it keeps staying at 6%) and when I unplug it it just dies after a couple of seconds.
This is the output of upower -d:

The output seems good or at least normal, what could the problem be?
Thanks.

This sort of thing is usually handled in firmware (in the battery or in the laptop charging circuit), and not controllable from software.

When things go wonky, I tend to just shut everything down, remove the battery and re-seat it after a little while (maybe a 30s-1m).

Done it several times, does not change anything.
I suspect some contacts on the battery are broken, even though the laptop knows when the battery is inserted.

If some of the battery contacts are broken, the battery’s defective and there’s nothing you can do about it in software. Take it back to the dealer and get it replaced.

This is what I think I’ll end up doing.
