Audio Problem with tiger-lake audio device

audio is not working im on fedora 42 with the default gnome version it comes with in my infinix x2slim laptop
in the setting it not even showing me my input device which i was sure i have one cuz prior to use linux i used windows and they both work perfectly fine

i have even tried installing other distro like ubuntu and arch by completely wiping out the disk
but still the issue is same

i even tried live usb with same ubuntu and arch but still the issue is same

so i go back to fedora cuz i prefer that and installed it by completely wiping out the disk again

i have tiger-lake lp smart sound techonology audio controller (or atleaset that what its showing me in the setting)

i have tried connecting the earphone and it works both input and output
and i also tried to connect a bluethooth device and it also works both input and output

i have installed the pavucontrol to look for the issue but the issue still persist

Anyone please help me with this.

I have followed all the solution of the community discussion around it so far and also asked chatgpt for help but still my audio device is not working

Thanks for sharing your experience. Based on your description, wired and Bluetooth earphones seem to pair and work fine for output, which is great.

However, it’s unclear to me what audio device exactly isn’t working:

  • Are input devices (like the microphone) not showing up or not functioning?
  • Or is there an issue with specific output devices, such as internal speakers or headphone jacks?

Also, since you’re using a Tiger Lake system, it’s worth noting that similar audio issues have been reported across multiple Linux distros, and some workarounds may not be reliable long-term.

I’d appreciate any clarification you can provide.

And if anyone knows of reliable ways to check Linux hardware compatibility in advance, please feel free to share.
