Hi all. I am currently on laptop, and the audio won’t stop coming out of the speakers even when I have headphones connected on the p2 exit
I tried installing pavucontrol, but I do not have the option to disable the speakers when my headphones are on (check screenshots, one screenshot shows pavucontrol with headphones connected, and on the other they are disconnected)
This is not a hardware issue, since I have dual boot and it works fine on windows

It seems somewhat ironic that another user was just reporting exactly the opposite problem recently: Switching between speakers and headphones without unplugging the headphones
Edit: Is “Auto-Mute” disabled in alsamixer?
If so, try enabling it by arrowing over to it and pressing the up-arrow key.
Ok, here is some more data that I just got: when I restart my laptop, if the headphones are plugged in, the output behaves as expected.
However, if you unplug the headphones and plug them again, or if you restart the laptop with them unplugged, the output comes out from both devices
Regarding Gregory’s question, alsamixer has only the “Master” option
Do you get more options if you press F6 to select your sound card?
