I have a poor memory, and as a prosthetic, I’m trying to set up a way to index voice audio that I have recorded. Are there systems for generating transcripts, indexing, and search, preexisting? Or do I need to roll my own with bash scripts, some speech-to-text tool, sqlite, and ffmpeg, etc?
This is one of many links about speech to text software for linux.
The first step would be to convert the audio to text then beyond that I don’t know what is available for archiving and retrieving the text once it is in that form.
I can’t find any rpms or flatpaks or appimages via GetApp. Looks like entirely affiliate links. I checked the opensource box, and it shows me Txtplay and “Machine Learning on AWS” which is so wrong I’m offended.
