I’m in favor of this, personally. Perhaps using certain existing user activity based criteria for current badges as a baseline for Fedora badges and retroactively crediting previous activity after the merger would check all the boxes and give a better way forward for managing badges here. I like the idea of badges here being consolidated in Fedora Badges and hopefully it also incentives people who get involved here to consider getting involved in other parts of Fedora as well through discovering other community badges in the process that otherwise haven’t been visible on ask.fp.o.

We’ll keep the name “Ask Fedora” for the subsection of the forum, and https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/ will continue to work to go directly to that section. I think that this makes more sense than going the other way around. We could also have opted to rename the whole thing, but I’m not sure of a great new name. (For example,forum.fedoraproject.orgmight be confusing with the long-standing non-affiliated Fedora Forum site.)

I think it should also redirect to discussion.fedoraproject.org.
This helps improve accessibility by utilizing an intuitive name which is otherwise wasted.
We lose nothing and gain more opportunities instead.

Discuss & discussions came in to discussion because of writing wrong the whole thing.
I guess just the abbreviation of all this would be useful because of misspelling the long versions.
disc.fedoraporject.org would serve for all variants if we knew we can abbreviate it.
And from F38 we also will have just fedoraproject.org where we will find all the needed links.
To maintain all this forwarders makes it more complicated then it helps in the end.
