Arduino IDE 2 Problems in Fedora 40

Hi I am having problems with all versions of Arduino IDE 2: flatpak, AppImage and the official build from Arduino.cc.

When I try to run the flatpak using “flatpak run cc.arduino.IDE2” the following errors happen:

Gtk-Message: 19:55:32.378: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
Gtk-Message: 19:55:32.378: Failed to load module "pk-gtk-module"
Gtk-Message: 19:55:32.380: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
Gtk-Message: 19:55:32.380: Failed to load module "pk-gtk-module"

But both modules seem to be installed on my system.

With both the AppImage and the official build I get the same error, but not many details:

// Fragment GLSL
#version 300 es

#extension GL_NV_shader_noperspective_interpolation : require
precision mediump float;
precision mediump sampler2D;
out mediump vec4 sk_FragColor;
uniform sampler2D uTextureSampler_0_S0;
noperspective in highp vec2 vlocalCoord_S0;
void main() {
    mediump vec4 outputColor_S0 = vec4(1.0);
    highp vec2 texCoord = vlocalCoord_S0;
    outputColor_S0 = texture(uTextureSampler_0_S0, texCoord, -0.5);
    {
        sk_FragColor = outputColor_S0;
    }
}

Errors:
link failed but did not provide an info log

The application only loads partway, with none of the menus visible:

Any help or tips would be most appreciated. I know I am not the only person having this problem.

P.S. Any suggestions to use IDE v1 would not be helpful. And that does not work fully too.

I’m having the same (or similar) problem. Not finding very much about this with Google but there do seem to be some other instances.
Our hardware isn’t dissimilar…
