AMD Driver Update not working wrong repo link from AMD? GNOME Crash while playinng straight to lockscreen

Hey everyone,

I’m very new to Linux. I’m using Fedora 40 as my new main distro, and so far, everything has worked quite well. However, today I encountered my first real issue while playing Diablo 4 via Lutris. After about 30 minutes, my GNOME session completely crashed, and I was sent back to the login screen. This has happened to me a few times.

After doing some research, I found that I might need to update my AMD drivers. So, I tried doing just that by downloading the latest RHEL drivers (as shown in the pictures). Now, I’m dealing with a rather bizarre bug. From what I can tell, it seems like AMD provided the wrong repo link.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or knows how to fix it?

Thats the repo link: https://repo.radeon.com/amdgpu/6.1.3/el//main/x86_64/repodata/repomd.xml

The latest released version of the amdgpu driver is shipped as an integrated part of the linux kernel. You do not need to install anything else.
