Gnome Crashing (new to Fedora) / no extensions installed

Hey, as the title says, I am fairly new to Fedora and GNOME (used Mint before), and I have been getting a lot of crashes lately.

GNOME just dies on me while using Brave or in a game, and this is the error message. I am always thrown back to the login screen.

Error messages:
Gdm: on_display_removed: assertion 'GDM_IS_REMOTE_DISPLAY (display)' failed
[drm:amdgpu_job_timedout [amdgpu]] *ERROR* Process information: process gnome-shell pid 2416 thread gnome-shel:cs0 pid 2454

I am using:

  • AMD 6700 XT
  • AMD 5600

Both run well in Windows, so I don’t think it’s a hardware issue. I’ve done all the available updates. Can you please help? ^^

I think I’ve read somewhere that current kernels do have some issues with amd gpus.
If it’s a new install then you could try to boot the initial kernel version 6.8.x. and try to reproduce.

Otherwise there is a new 6.10.9 kernel available currently in updates-testing and new firmware update with some changes to for AMD GPUs.
