3D-accelerated Windows VM - is it possible?

Hello everyone

For my university course I need to run Windows with graphics acceleration. Gnome boxes seems unable to provide graphics acceleration to a Windows VM which makes the software unusably slow. Proton/Wine cannot run the Windows software at all, and Virtualbox seems to not work at all on Silverblue 37. Is there a solution besides dual-booting or using another machine?

Probably using kvm with virt-manager would be the easiest way. The downside is that you need to overlay it.

rpm-ostree install virt-manager

edit:

I also use this polkit rule in order to not have to put my password every time I want to use the virtual machines.
