Windows 11 Freeze on KVM with QEMU 9.2.4

Hi everyone, how are you? I’m new to Fedora and the Linux world, so sorry if this post is in the wrong place — please feel free to move it if needed.

I’m facing a freeze issue when using QXL on Windows 11 24H2 running in KVM with QEMU 9.2.4 (qemu-9.2.4-1.fc42), which is the current version on Fedora 42 Workstation (GNOME).

From what I’ve seen, this bug was already fixed in July 2025, and I’d like to know if there’s any forecast for this fix to be included in Fedora.

Here’s the patch I found:
