Wifi disconnects every 5 minutes for 5 to 15 seconds

I use the Fedora 41 KDE spin and i’ve experienced my wifi frequently disconnecting randomly ever since i installed the distro and after researching i found that my TP-Link usb wifi adapter is not compatible with Fedora and I bought the Fenvi FU-AX1800 USB USB Wifi adapter everything was working fine until yesterday the wifi started to disconnect, for about 5 to 10 seconds every 5 minutes. I’m pretty much a linux newbie and don’t know what to do any help would be appreciated, but i don’t want to spend more money for a solution.

I’d try monitoring the logs when the event happens to see if there are any clues being logged about what is going wrong. Leave a terminal window running with sudo journalctl -f. When the connection drops, switch to the terminal real quick and press Ctrl+C to stop the journalctl command. Then scroll back a little bit and see if you can find a log message about something happening with power management or timeouts or duplicate IP addresses etc.

Not gonna do the “well buy other hardware” thing.

But why didnt you get an intel internal wifi card?
