I go to a university which uses WPA Enterprise authentication for its student wifi. It uses Protected EAP and MSCHAP, which, while I don’t know exactly what those are, it requires me to use my university account, its email and password, to log into the network.
I was recently required to change my password as a routine security measure. I did so, but noticed that when I tried to log into the wifi, it returned an error of “No Secrets Provided.” I determined the cause was KWallet, and I attempted to reinstall it, then I deleted the wallet that I believed contained the key for my Wifi, believing that it would reset once I put in the new password.
However, now something else happens when I try to log in. The network now no longer accepts my password, despite it clearly being the correct one as the same password works on other devices and for other university services. I also tried using my old password, which also didn’t work. I have submitted a ticket to my university IT department, but as this is a personal device they are limited in ways they can help.
I am running Fedora 41 with KDE Plasma 6.2.3 and KDE Frameworks 6.8.0. I am using a Framework Laptop 13 with an Intel AX210 Wifi module, or so I believe.
Is there a way to fix the wifi issue? I am personally assuming I will need to completely reinstall NetworkManager, but I will try any simpler solutions first.
